3 Ingredient Caramel

Prep Time: 15 Min

Makes: 1 - 6oz Jar Of Caramel

Crust Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar or coconut sugar

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1 can (7oz) sweet and condensed milk*

  • 1/4 teaspoon French grey sea salt (optional)

    *note: Cans of sweet and condensed milk come in different sizes. A 7oz can was used for the proportions of this recipe.

Step 1: In a medium pot, add the sugar, butter, and sweet and condensed milk. Heat on medium until the butter melts. Then cook on medium to high heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and coats the back of the spoon (about 7-12 minutes).

Step 2: Turn off the heat, put the caramel in a heat-safe container, and sprinkle with salt if desired.

Step 3: Place the caramel on ice cream or use it to dip apples.
