This Is How Galentine's Day Can Make The Heart And The Mind Happy.

Hey Beautiful Friends,

Happy Galentine's Day! What are you doing to celebrate your greatest Gal Pals?

Galentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to get the squad together remotely, drink bubbly, and just dance the day away. However, with all the ups and downs this year, some of our girlfriends might not be in the mood to jump on a Zoom call, move around and shake their maracas.

It’s hard to have fun when the mind isn’t in a great place!

That’s why my yogi friend Renee Gauthier and I have created a FREE 5-Day “Love Your Mind” Instagram challenge.

Join us this coming week, Monday, February 15th - Friday, February 19th to pick up tips on how to destress and get creative.

Here’s how it works:

Jump on Instagram and tag a friend who needs this and feel the love.

See you on Monday Galentines!

xoxo, Andra

P.S. Check out Renee’s fabulous Live Yoga Class schedule this week and my Skillshare Class “How To Unlock Creative Magic Everyday!” get started on creating Love In Your Mind this week.

Day 317 - Why You Should Start A Creative Improvement Club.

This post contains affiliate links.

Hello, Friday! Who else thinks Friday is pretty great? It's usually my favorite day of the week but yesterday took the cake. A friend of mine invited me to her house to teach me how to block print. In fact, she invited a group of other ladies to spend a few hours drinking coffee, chit-chatting and creating stuff. She encouraged us to bring our own projects and also provided all the necessary equipment to create block prints. First, block printing was a very cool medium in which to create. For my first project, I sketched a penguin design since all I can think about is the STEAM Kids Christmas book that just launched complete with a pop-up penguin advent calendar.

Second, I have forgotten how amazing it is to sit down with a group of lovely people and just talk and work. It is inspiring to see how what and how other people create. We even came up with an unofficial name for our Thursday groups of creating together "The Creative Improvement Club" and we are going try to do this meet up every week.

Today's project is to invite a few friends over to create stuff together. Work on creating a business plan, a blog, a scarf for Aunt Gretta, make jewelry or a marketing campaign. Remember it's a "Creative Improvement Club" you are creating it to find power in a tribe.

Until tomorrow Members Only!

Day 190 - Hello Friends.

Hello Friends. Thank you for reading today. Doesn't it feel like we need to slow down and thank more people in our lives? Especially friends. I'm talking about the old friends we have lost touch with and the new friends that are right around the corner. Both help us get though the day. If our lives are good they cheer us on. If our lives are falling apart, they hold our hand and guide us forward.

An old friend and I have set up a new routine. We are 3,000 miles away but for the last few weeks we pour ourselves a cup of tea or coffee. We then call each other to talk. She is one of my dearest friends. Wth distance and time, however, we have found ourselves talking only a few times a year. Although, the weekly calls are short, we have created and brought a new sense of support to our long life friendship.

I have to thank her today. She is an amazing person and my life wouldn't be the same without her. If I haven't said it before Ms. You Know Who, thank you for sticking by me when I couldn't stop complaining about life, supporting the endless crying when I was pregnant and coming to see me when things fell apart. You are brilliant, sweet and hands down one of the best people I know. I'm so lucky and grateful we are friends.

Today, pick someone you have lost touch with or a person you want to know better. Create a weekly time to talk, email or text. Chat about whatever is on the top of mind. Make it a point, however, to thank them for all the good stuff they have brought to your life. Call it a friend specific goodfinding mission today.

I'm going to guess you won't need to look far to say thank you. There are so many people that make our lives feel full and round. See you tomorrow friends!
